  • EU Court fined European Union for breaching own data protection law; it’s a first-of-its-kind case.
  • French SA fined KASPR EUR 200,000 for data scrapping violation.
  • The Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (LIBE) endorsed Bruno Gencarelli for a five-year term as the union’s privacy watchdog.

  • California’s Attorney General issued advisories on the application of California law to AI and AI in healthcare.

  • The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) in India held a consultation meeting to discuss the draft DPDP Rules with government officials and industry representatives.
