The Federal Tax Authority (FTA) has implemented a new mandatory verification step for all businesses registered on the Emara Tax Portal. In your next log in, you may be prompted with a “Confirmation of Contact Details” pop-up, as shown in the image (Click to download the image)
What you need to do:
- Carefully check that correct registered email addresses and mobile numbers are mentioned and updated
- If any contact detail is unverified, you must use the “Validate via OTP” function to verify and confirm
- Once confirmed, submit the form to complete the process
Why is this important?
- Failing to update the information within 20 days of any change will trigger administrative penalties
- Ensuring correct contact details is crucial for receiving timely notification from the FTA and maintaining good compliance standing
