Jaya Rathi
Jaya is a Chartered Accountant from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. She has completed here Level 3 CFA and hold a CFA charter. She has completed her education, CA Articleship and Bachelor’s degree (B’Com) from Mumbai University
With the introduction of VAT in the United Arab Emirates, she found a right opportunity to pursue her interest in indirect taxes. She moved to Dubai in early 2017 and has been professionally involved in handling consultancy related to VAT and Excise Tax
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
- Jaya has an experience of over 11 years in the field of taxation in Indian and GCC
- Jaya has been in the UAE since the inception of VAT and Excise and has led various implementation projects for clients across various industries including trading, retail, healthcare, real estate etc
- Over the past 8 years in the UAE, Jaya has assisted clients in VAT and Excise advisory including creating tax efficiencies, VAT health check reviews, representation for FTA Audits, filing of dispute requestse, and day to day compliance
- Jaya has also assisted clients in the ESR compliances including determining applicability and assistance in filing of the necessary notifications, reports and ESR audits
- Jaya is actively involved in providing training to clients and has been a speaker in webinars and seminars on tax matters
