Temporary Installment Facility and Reduction of Eligible Fines

Under the directives of the Dubai Government, Customs Notices (CN) No 14 and No 15 have been released by the Dubai Customs effective from 21 May 2026. These Notices provide ease to business in payment of import Custom duties through instalments and waiver of customs fines in certain eligible cases.

| Installment Facility (CN 14/2026) |
- Eligible for invoices issued between 1 March 2026 to 30 June 2026, provided a credit account is used
- Prior approval is mandatory to avail the facility
- Application to be submitted before 30 September 2026
- All approved installment payments must be completed within one year from the date of installment

- Cancel the instalment facility entirely and demand full immediate payment
- Cancel part of the installment facility and/or demand payment of part as it may determine
- Impose applicable fee and/or penalties
- Suspend or place on hold any customs transactions
- Initiate legal procedures

| Fine Reduction (CN 15/2026) |
- Reduction of fines by 80% for eligible customs cases. Further, the reduction applies only to financial penalty, and no reduction is available for customs duties, service fee, admin charges or other similar charges
- Reduction applies exclusively to penalties prior to 28 February 2026
- Application to be submitted on or before 31 December 2026
- Approval is subject to settling the remaining 20% in a single lumpsum (unless by exception an installment is granted)

| Revocation of Fine Reduction |
Dubai Customs may revoke any reduction and reinstate outstanding amounts wherein:
- Approved payment in not made or the payment method is dishonored
- There is an administrative or judicial dispute between Dubai Customs and Customer
- Any other circumstance that warrants such action
